Dr.
Fracasso received his BS degree from Fordham University
in New York and his MD in 1981 from Georgetown
University in Washington, DC. He completed his
specialty training at the Washington Hospital Center in
1985 and obtained a MBA from the University of Miami in
Florida in 1988. He is a fellow of the American College
of OB/GYN and he is board certified and re-certified
through December 2009.
Currently, Dr. Fracasso
is the chair of the Inova Alexandria Hospital Pharmacy
and Therapeutics Committee and has chaired the Inova
Alexandria Hospital Utilization Management Committee.
He is a member of the Perinatal Committee.
Dr. Fracasso is also
a Physician Consultant to the Inova Health System as
well as the chair of the System Pharmacy and
Therapeutics Committee. He advises in the areas of new
and emerging pharmacological technology and therapies,
computerized physician order entry (CPOE), and
medication safety.
In his spare time, Dr.
Fracasso enjoys working on household projects. He and
his wife, Michele, have four children, Alexandra, Mark
Jr., Matthew, and Anna.
