Angel Miller , MSN, CNM
 


Angel J. Miller, MSN, CNM is a certified nurse-midwife who has been practicing nurse midwifery for over ten years. She received her diploma nursing degree in 1986 at St. Vincent Charity Hospital School of Nursing in Cleveland, Ohio. She gained extensive experience at University Hospitals of Cleveland in Women’s Health and as a cardiac nurse at the renowned Cleveland Clinic Foundation, as a key participant of the Heart-lung transplant team from for 6 years.

Angel earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1994 and Master of Science in Nursing in 1995 at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio. She received her certification in nurse-midwifery by the Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing in Hyden, Kentucky in 1997. She was co-founder and CEO of a successful independent nurse-midwifery practice, one of only five in the state of Ohio, Womanplace Specialties, located in northeast Ohio. Her practice began in 2002, serviced women across three counties, and then sold the busy practice in 2006 to WRH Health System. The nurse-midwifery practice is still flourishing as part of the Women’s Center at WRH Health System in Wadsworth, Ohio. Angel and her partner were the first certified nurse midwives to receive admitting privileges at WRH Health System and were part of the active medical staff, with full admitting and voting privileges equal to physicians.

Angel is certified by the ACNM (American College of Nurse Midwifery) Council in nurse-midwifery since 1997 and was recently re-certified in 2005. Angel continues to attend continuing education seminars and courses and prides herself in keeping her skills and educational level current with the ever-changing field of medicine, to provide her patients with the most current level of care.

Angel has provided a comprehensive range of services in women's health, including many years experience as a labor and delivery nurse. She has worked with a diverse population from large urban cities to rural communities. She prides herself in offering women education and choices in their health care throughout their lifetime. She enjoys using herbal and natural therapies in women’s health. Angel and her husband, Randy, have two sons, Rhett age 33 and Shea, age 26, and “Bear,” their 4 year old German Shepherd who enjoys one on one attention and playing at every chance he gets. Angel enjoys a variety of music, loves dancing and swimming and enjoys sports as a spectator, especially basketball.
