About Allie

Allie is a board certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, born and raised in Washington, D.C. She earned her BA in Psychology and Masters of Science in Nursing in Women’s Health at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN (Go Dores!). While at Vanderbilt, she traveled to China and studied traditional Chinese Medicine. During her masters program, the main focus of her research was on HIV positive women and the decision making process surrounding pregnancy.

Allie previously worked as a nurse-practitioner in a high-risk pregnancy /maternal fetal medicine practice, where she focused on complications of pregnancy. She also is a gestational diabetic counselor. Allie believes that there is nothing more special than bringing a healthy baby into this world. She loves working with the OB population and looks forward to also working with the GYN population at Physician and Midwives Collaborative. Allie believes in caring for the mind, body, and soul and loves listening to, speaking with, counseling, and forming meaningful relationships with her patients.

Allie is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing and the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health. When not at Physician and Midwives Collaborative, she enjoys cooking and baking, sailing, dancing, playing tennis, attending sporting events (big DC sports fan!), traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
